LORI LOO’s BRAND IDENTITY

THE BRIEF

Lori Loo’s is a newly launched jewelry boutique, founded by Lauren Hess, with a specialization in handmade earrings available through her Etsy storefront.

Lauren approached me seeking a bespoke logo and a comprehensive creative identity.

She expressed interest in a clean and feminine design, while also emphasizing the need for a personal brand that could be adapted for future expansion should she decide to explore additional opportunities within her Etsy business.

THE SOLUTION

During the design brief discussion, Lauren expressed a preference for earthy symbols, including leaves and floral elements.

This concept reflects an elegant and organic aesthetic, conveying a sense of high quality and charm with a tropical influence. This is achieved through the flowing, leaf-inspired typography and the use of Viridian green.

In designing this logo, I reflected on what truly represents Lauren Hess and her unique personality. A memorable anecdote came to mind: her experience at a pet store where she formed a bond with a green parrot she affectionately named “Bubba,” a connection she still reminisces about fondly today.

This personal story, cherished by her family and friends, inspired me to incorporate a distinctive bird icon into the alternate primary logo. I chose the Lorikeet, an Australian parrot, as it complements the logo’s name, its tropical and verdant theme, and the story behind it.
